Somebody better alert Marketing that the Vice Chairman doesn't think much of tree-huggers.

Global warming is a “total crock of ****.” Then he added: “I’m a skeptic, not a denier. Having said that, my opinion doesn’t matter. (With the battery-driven Volt), “I’m motivated more by the desire to replace imported oil than by the CO2 (argument).”

Well, Bob's more than a little vested in defending the virtues of his high-displacement movers like the Hummer, Cadillac, etc. Coming as he does from the cars-as-art, octane-love wing of automobilia it's semi-understandable he'd be narrow-band about things. Still, for a guy whose rep is built on flipping Detroit's conventional wisdom on it's ass, methinks Lutz here is doing more of just showing his posterior. Let's hope he's just nervous about some of GM's newer ventures.
